This is like politics was originally intended in this country, 200 years ago. An every day citizen could run for office, and actually have a chance to win. You didn't have to be a rich elite that could throw money hand over fist at an election.

Of course, this will be a super rare fluke. But nice to see, nonetheless.

It's not even about money and being a rich elite. It's all about being an insider in a political party for the most part. We have seen this trend breaking, specific with Trump and now with an instance like this. It's kind of cool that you don't need the backing of the massive political party to have a chance in an election.

I think the majority of Americans are tired of our current two party political system. They are sick of both sides. So, new fresh blood is very appealing to most people.
 
Hopefully he makes some good decisions and doesn't absolutely bomb. Would be good to show a regular guy can help turn shit around.

Sounds like he's at least going to go after the Sheriff for denying ccw permits unless it's his friends or they donate to him

They're going to be a heart-broken squad, but these are the kinds of folks who would be quite ok with the nation splitting into pieces.
