I'd amend that to if the Jets give Wilson perfect protection he'll be better than Fields.

That's what he had at BYU when he played nobody.

He has been the Quarterback from the last century I have felt best about in the NFL coming from Ohio State. Urban kept using these athletes as quarterbacks who were a threat to run as much as throw. Then they brought in receivers who could outrun or outmaneuver most DBs so those athletes had good targets to throw to. Fields was the first one to come in and look to throw but could take off if he had to. Not saying it will transition to the NFL but he has a better chance than a lot of others we have seen.

I can't blame him if he wanted to go to a situation where he has a chance to compete to be the starter. Do if we had no chance at him that's fine.

But how do you not even check if you're the Cowboys?

I read somewhere, I think the zzone, that Broaddus claimed he heard the team got bad reports about Minshew's attitude, coachability, etc.

It's Broaddus, so who knows if that's all BS, but it could be an explanation.
