I'm guessing because Leonard Williams is also a free agent on their D-line who is going to command big bucks. Guy had the best season of his career notching double digit sacks. Leonard Williams is going to break the bank for the Giants. And props to their coaches for finally getting that guy to play up to his potential. I didn't really see that season coming from him.

I agree. I'd be scared to do that with Williams but the Giants I don't think have much of a choice. He has to be their priority so I expect him to get 15 mil + per season. The Giants already don't have much cap room. Which is why they may not be able to resign their DT.

I thought he was such a great prospect at USC though. Maybe the Jets are just that bad that nobody can do anything there.

Let's hope. They are 12 million over the cap and would have to sign both Williams and Tomlinson, not to mention field a more competitive team o begin with.

They have a ton of restructuring they need to do to get there.

But Tomlinson is exactly the kind of player most teams would want to keep.

Really hard for me to see 1) the Giants not even trying to keep him and 2) Jerry Jones shelling out big FA bucks for a NT.

NTs tend to hit free agency. They get underrated because of a lack of stats. Tomlinson is really good though.

The Giants are going to have a tough decision between him and Leonard Williams.

Even if he hits FA though...yeah, I don't see Dallas being all that aggressive. They never are.

They will go with Williams but that's not necessarily the right choice. I agree though, I think other teams will be willing to pay for Tomlinson. The Cowboys only want to pick through the scraps.

They are really going to have to choose what kind of defense they want to be. With Tomlinson in place they will be competitive defensively for several years. If they lose him, they are going to have to rebuild.

This kid in Cleveland, Larry Ogunjobi, could be an alternative, but he's a step down from Tomlinson.

If I were the Browns I'd keep Ogunjobi, but they have over 32m committed to the DL in 2021. Maybe they cut Clayborn.
