I'm fine keeping McCarthy another year but Nolan has to go, and it should be a warning to McCarthy that he's gone unless we make the playoffs at an absolute minimum next year.

Listening to Stephen it sure doesn't sound like McCarthy is anywhere near the hotseat. Doubt Nolan is either.

Nolan should be. He just isn't good at implementing a scheme and fitting it to players. We were told he would take talent and fit the scheme to them but in reality it looks like the opposite.

McCarthy isn't at all blameless so I would hope they weren't just completely letting him off the hook, but I can understand cutting him some slack after the strange offseason coupled with all the injuries they suffered.

I can understand the logic in that.

With that said, this absolutely should not apply the rest of the coaching staff because Covid and injuries didn't make the Cowboys defense play at a historically bad rate from day 1, and it certainly isn't the reason Fassel made so many inexcusably bad calls through the season. So while McCarthy may deserve some slack, most of his staff does not.

I know it's probably too much to ask for, but I hope they are being held accountable to some degree.

I firmly believe that canning a coach after one year sets a bad precedent, but my patience is nil after Garrett. We all know, intimately, what bad coaching looks like.

Going off of his time in Green Bay, and what we’ve seen this year, I just think it’s enough to know he isn’t the guy to get us where we want to be. I get what everyone else is saying, and as far as his job goes, he does deserve another year.

I’m just thinking the odds are higher than not that come this time next year, or maybe a little later, we’ll all be singing the same tune.

Oh I agree. Im just basing it on what he said there and the fact that Garrett was held on to for 10 years too long. They don't like change at all.

Yeah I hope he isn't back but I'd say the odds are in favor of coming back based on this teams history.

Well, if it's a numbers thing, then I wouldn't mind seeing Aldon Smith get a sprained knee or something and have to sit down for a few weeks. Certainly doesn't look like our coaches are going to use these last few weeks to get the young guys reps without absolutely having to.

I’m sure this team, and every other, has a set number of players per positional group they want to roll into Sunday’s with, but considering how rag tag this entire team has been, you can’t tell me they couldn’t fit him in somewhere. Either he sucks, or this team sucks at evaluating talent....

Which is crazy to me. Let the kid play if he looks ready.

I can't think of a reason why they would activate Armstrong instead of Anae.

I would offer that the Browns have a solid QB and Dallas does not. The problem however is that when Dak was in the line up and leading in most offense categories the team still wasn’t winning so the finger pointer goes straight to the coaching staff.

Bookmark these posts, LT, then throw it in their faces after Baker blows out the Ravens on Monday night.

Make them lick the white dog poop. :lol

The Browns lost the game but Baker Mayfield played well and even outplayed the reigning league MVP.

Alright. @L.T. Fan how do you want to line them up? Alphabetical order, draw straws.....it's your call.

@Rev, @Genghis Khan, @Iamtdg ....any volunteers to be first in line to lick the white poop?

Dude he lost.....

by LT's own metrics he's a loser now

least that is how he rates Dak

He scored 2 clutch TDs in the 4th qtr. One to give his team the lead. Then another with under 2 minutes to play to tie the game.

Not his fault the Browns defense couldn't stop a nose bleed.
