That’s the kind of responses that comes from a silly college incident. That by the way wasn’t a barometer of Mayfields talent and accomplishments. He has established himself in both the college elitist field and now as a starting QB as a pro. That just makes the butt burn a little hotter.

Oh well winning the Heisman and being the #1 draft pick is done all the time by duds. I guess I just forgot that.

To be fair, he did state he was torn between the NBA and NFL, that could be why he went undrafted.

You can look at Troy Smith in 2006. Fifth rounder.

True, he did. But if he was a can't miss "heisman winner", somebody would have burned a mid to late rounder on him to have control of his rights, even if he was considering the NBA. Going undrafted had to help him make up his mind.

I didn’t say Heisman winners did well in the pros. I said Baker Mayfield won the Heisman and has done well in the pros. It wasn’t a statement about Heisman winners it was a statement about Mayfield.
