Yea in a shitty division those two games against say, the Niners and Lions, could make a huge difference if the Eagles are playing the Seahawks and Packers instead.

But it's really about the draft, I want a bounty from a QB needy team or one of the few blue chip prospects.

At this point I'm leaning towards trading down and getting some extra firsts. If no one is willing though I'd be happy to stay put and take a franchise player at LT, LBer, DE or Corner even. Lawrence is a pipe dream to be available for our pick but it would make things really interesting.

Guess I'm the outlier but I still want them to at least try to win. I don't want this shitshow to continue the entire year. With all the injuries they've had, they're still going to be bad enough and pick high enough to get good players next draft.

Maybe I'd feel differently if they needed a QB, but they don't.

So lets say the second pick in the draft has Justin Fields sitting there. And teams who didn't get Lawrence view Fields as a stud. You may be able to flip that pick plus a future first to move down slightly in the draft. If you win some games, you'll be pick at that same lower position without the extra first.

I guess I don't think they're going to be bad enough to pick #2 overall once Dalton is back... as long as Martin keeps playing.

I think they'll pick around 4 to 6, which is high enough for me.

2nd place is just the first loser. If they are already bad then they shouldnt halfass it.

Yeah I'm not so confident in Dalton. He won how many games last year?

Not saying he's going to carry the team. but he is a functional QB. They were right in that game against the Eagles with a completely non-functional QB.

Of course the Eagles suck, too, but this whole division does and some of those games are left.

Dalton didn't look very functional while we were being curb stomped by the Redskins. Maybe Martin makes a difference but I doubt it. The OT's are still letting anyone and everyone through to hit the QB and Dalton has little to no mobility and appears to hold the ball too long. Plus he is dreadful when teams blitz him.

And honestly, having a last place schedule next year would be kind of nice. I know it doesn't make a massive difference but it can't hurt. Healthy Dak throwing to these three receivers, healthy O-line and a rebuilt defense and things are looking good.
And an NFC South potentially without Brees and Brady.

All the Dak-haters celebrating last place schedule.

Automatic year extension to continue their hate.

6,000 yards, 50 TDs and 16-0? Who cares!!!!!

Yeah, he didn't look too sharp.

That was also at the worst of the OL problems.

Martin was back so it was a bit better, but yea, Steele is out here giving up 2-3 sacks a game so there isn't much you can do either way.

We get a real punter up in this MF. You might have thought of this 2 years ago, but hey, that’s just me

I think they might sign some of these guys. They need King and showed draft interest in Speaks and Gilmore.
