"C'mon, not even just a little bit?"

Somebody is officially challenging the results of this poll!

Kinda telling about each coach's first round pick corresponding to a rough approximation of their tenure.

Right down to Tyron Smith foreshadowing Garrett's greatness! :unsure

Maybe he foreshadowed.... long term abode? Since Smith came here at age 20 and should be here practically forever?
Bill Parcells and Terrence Newman.

That's gotta be some internal conflict for you. :art

You have definitely gotten amnesia when it comes to the poodle years.

Yeah, I think those teams were poorly run laughingstocks.

The Campo opinion resurgence is mostly due to Garrett angst. Campo was trash.

Are we rating the coaches on their overall prowess during their time here, or the relative success of their tenure? And if it's their tenure, are we saying based against expectation, or purely on results? If it's against expectation, then:

1a. Landry
1b. Johnson
3. Parcells
4. Gailey
5. Switzer
6. Garrett
7. Phillips
8. Campo

Garrett would have leapfrogged Gailey and Switzer with a championship game appearance or two, but he never got there.

If we were adjusting for pure results then Switzer has to move up just on the basis of a Ring. As it is (listed for performance against expectation) then Switzer only clings to that 5 spot because he did in fact win a ring. If he had blown that Super Bowl to the Steelers I might put him last. He was just mailing it in and cashing checks for the most part here.

As a metaphor for Parcells' tenure it's not bad. Pro Bowl player, should have spent longer in Dallas, in retrospect. Dunno why he wasn't a bit better than he played for us but a solid career here.

Where the metaphor ends is I would take Parcells in that scenario 10 times out of 10 and even wish we kept him on; whereas I would still go back and change that Newman pick if I could.

I looked back at the schedules for the Campo years. Certainly not good, but for the most part they were competitive in games. Not near as many woodshed beatings as one would at expect. Not saying Campo was a good coach, but for the lack of talent those teams had, they were far more competitive than they should have been.

"And when the Cowboys got on the clock to pick, Jerry Jones said there were three trades on the table to move back, but they couldn't pass up on the chance to get the talented receiver."

I sure wonder what the trades offered were. It would take a mountain to give up a top 10 player but I would certainly listen. If it was Philly, I would fleece the f out of the,

So, what are your thoughts about the Packers drafting Jordan Love? They needed help at WR in a bad way. And on the Oline. Instead, they take a QB. After trading up to do so. That's really gotta chap Aaron Rodgers' ass. Especially since he recently said he'd like to play until he's 40.

Anyone tried this free sling thing? I can’t do another night of the ABC coverage. I’m starting to seriously have funny pants feelings for Jesse Palmer.

Yeah you throw out the trade chart there because you're giving up a top 10 talent and one of the elite players in this draft. This isn't Dez falling because he is a knucklehead. You trade back only of the trade is really in your favor on the chart.

If it broke Rodger's fragile vagina, then I'm all for it.

I signed up for a trial of Fubo TV. After that it's $60 or something which they'll never pry out of my cheap ass hands.

They're going to end up sabotaging the window they have left with Rodgers to gamble on a guy like Love who may or may not even be a legitimate franchise QB prospect.

Could work out great but I don't love Love as a prospect, nor the decision as a whole. Kind of smacks of LaFleur trying to move on from the past regime and make his own mark.

Just another person throwing shit against the wall trying to get traffic to their site.

File it away with all the other stories guaranteeing us taking a CB in the first round.
At this point any opinion is plausible until shot down like the CB guarantee.
