Agreed.

If there is a top rated pass rusher when it's our turn to pick, we need to take his ass.

Smith and Gregory will be luxuries at best and should not be viewed as reliable contributors.

even if they both are, I have come to believe that it's best to go very conservative on what you feel they will actually contribute. It could be next to nil, and if you approach it that way, you're pleasantly surprised with anything more. And honestly, when was the last time one of these gambles truly paid off?

The reason he is low mileage is he gets suspended about every season and even if they make pot legal he won’t be able to adopt to the regimen of a full season. Not any year. He should have to Pay to get in the stadium.

Smith and Gregory are projects, not players.

Dallas’s starting RDE is Crawford. Out of position... again.

Only this team.

The only solid, consistent players in the front 7 are Lawrence and McCoy, and McCoy is 32.

Why? Why do we never get it? They are going to take one good look at this pig and draft a CB as lipstick.

Mike, here’s your first real test. Can you pull the front offices’ heads out if their asses so they can actually begin to build a real defense the hard but right way?
 
To be fair in 2018 Crawford, Lawrence and Gregory were about all we had at DE. No excuse to be in that same situation in 2020 but if we can add a guy like Chaisson in the draft I'll feel pretty solid about the situation at DE.

They also had their 2017 1st round draft pick. The guy that Marinelli and Garrett banged on the table and overruled the scouts for.

We can field a serviceable defense opening day. Most likely. They just seem to be thinking in terms of immediate need when it comes to the draft.

A foundational guy like Kinlaw isn’t sexy enough for them.

McCarthy is by most measures a solid coach with legit creds and that’s exactly what Dak needs to get to the next level. Hopefully the bottom doesn’t fall out of the OL.

I think we got past the Garrett clusterfuck, but it took so long to do it that the team is not in that window anymore, at least along the OL.
