Dak Watch Thread...

um, that would be one Ryan Leaf, sir.

That depends on your criteria. Lynch played in a grand total of 5 games in what would be called his 'career'. The bigger point is that Lynch was the guy that the Dallas braintrust wanted, and Connor Cook was second. When those are the quarterback decisions your organization is making, you thank the football gods for Dak Prescott.

and yet you said to pay the man if he delivers said top 5 performance. As if there are agreed upon measures by which you would deem him worthy of said top 5 pay. How can that be?
If it was my money, the team would be required to make the conference championship game under the QBs leadership. After all why does a team need a high dollar QB if they can’t get that far and recoup some of their pay in the post season.

Because he's caught in his own double-standard.
Why don’t you hold your lip. I don’t live on this site. So I don’t always get back around to dealing with things. You sure have arrived here with a know it all attitude.

Sorry if I call things for exactly what they are. Did nobody point out your blatant double standards before I got here? It's a sore spot for me and I point it out whenever I see it. And you try to move the goalposts every time someone catches you.

So you would have let Romo go then instead of giving him an extension?

I haven’t had a conversation with you nor do I plan to.

Now that’s what I call moving the goal post. My regard for Romos talent has nothing to do with Daks demands.
Well he wouldn't have gotten an extension and would be playing somewhere else based on your criteria.

That sort of stuff!
:lol
What's the matter? You've said numerous times here Romo is the best qb the Cowboys have had but under your own standards you would have released him before giving him an extension.

If you don’t understand the difference in my appreciation of Romo’s talent and how I say would deal with a player that wants to hold up the Owner and potentially jeopardizes the teams ability financially to field better players I guess I can’t convey it enough but that player would have to prove to me I was not going to regret my decision later for being stuck with a player who I paid handsomely under duress and was getting nothing back. The only way they can give back is to go deep into post season. My regard for Romo is simply an admiration for the guys ability to walk on the squad and leave with virtually all the records a QB can hold. It not about anything else with him.

Oh bull fucking shit, you have said numerous times Romo is better than Aikman but yet by your own words earlier-

if you are going to quote me say it correctly. I said at the position of Quarterback with the Cowboys Romo was the best at that position statistically.

But he wasn't, statistics include wins/losses and playoff appearances. And playoffs get more credit, per your own standard for extending a qb

Wins and losses is a team stat. And playoffs I used as a barometer for a high paid QB pay Bach the owner for their high payroll. Because you really don’t need a high paid QB if the team goes nowhere.
