Yeah. Stanton is a Pipedream. Even if he was available the cost would be tremendous. Looks like Soriano was it. Padres might be willing to sell Carlos Quentin but you would have to convince him to waive the no trade clause.

Does anyone think it possible the Rangers negotiate and keep Garza longer term. I thought I heard 5 years 75 mil might do it. That would be Yu, Holland, Garza, Harrison and Lewis as long term here or a younger guy in place of Lewis. That could win of the offense gets fixed.

Rangers never sign FA pitching. Yu was a special case because we bought exclusive rights to negotiate with him. I don't have any faith that they will be able to sign him. The rangers front office doesn't want to get in bidding wars and climate generally keep the pitchers from signing.

I think the ballpark has something to do with it too. It's not exactly pitcher friendly.

Actually they made some changes to the ballpark as far as where the wind goes through. I think that's also part of the reason we are struggling offensively as well. Its not as hitter friendly as it was.

Well, I didn't focus my energy on him. Instead I just sent Matt Moore to the DL with elbow stiffness. I will get Roberto later.

There will definitely be more trades next month with the waiver deals. More teams will be out of it by then and be in sell mode.

Elbow stiffness would scare the crap out of anyone, but from what I'm reading is it's just an excuse to give him a few weeks off. We have a day off after the AZ series so they're going to run with a 4 man rotation for now.
