I have to give Wade all kinds of props. I was pretty much writing him off, but he played well in the series after a shaky start.

Games 6 and 7 he really picked it up. I think this is what we're going to see from Wade from this point on. He's going to pick and choose his spots.

He can't be great every night like he used to be. But when the season is on the line he's find a way to dig deep to turn back the clock to his days as Flash.
 
They talked about the bone bruise and how much it affected him. Some rest should make that heal properly. The Heat will certainly have to address size and youth at the wings, but I see no reason why they should not be the odds on favorite to win again.
 
I'm already looking forward to next season. I'm glad I bought NBA League Pass this year. I can watch replays of any game, regular season or post season.

I plan on doing that to bridge the gap between now and football season.

Looking into next season....obviously it's early and their will be some key player moves, but I think OKC is the odds on favorite to make it out of the West next season. I think OKC adds a big man with some offensive skills and another shooter this off season.

I think Memphis takes a step back. Unless they bring in George Karl I don't see them bringing in a Coach that's better than Hollins.

If the Clippers bring in Rivers the Clippers will be OKC's biggest threat. Especially if Garnett ends up being part of the trade.

The Spurs could potentially lose Ginobili and Duncan to retirement this off season. If they do, they take a significant step back.

The Lakers will probably be about a 45 win team again.

The one team that's a wildcard is the Rockets. If they get Dwight Howard they could jump up into the top 2 or 3 in the West. Howard would be a great fit with them. I keep hearing he wants to be "the man" but he doesn't have the game to be that guy. If he swallows his pride and accepts his role as a #2 guy I think he'd have greater success in Houston as opposed to trying to build his own legacy in LA. His personality is not made for that LA market. They're too demanding. It's championship or bust every year for the Lakers and I don't see Dwight handling that type of media and fan pressure well.

I think that would be a great season for them. Dwight will be gone, Kobe will take a long time to recover from his Achilles and Nash is old and gets hurt easily.

He had knee issues last year as well that's why I think this is something that's going to become a chronic condition.

He'll probably be fresh the first 2-3 months of the season and after that his knees will probably start bothering him again.

That's how I see it playing out.
 
I'll be interested in seeing where Bynum lands. I wonder if he is going to have to take a one year, get right deal, before another team gives him a longterm contract. I don't want him back with the Sixers and I hope there is something that can be done in terms of a ST.

If they go into next season with the same formula they've had for the last 3 years (surround 3 "stars" with a bunch of old/inconsistent/average players), I don't even think they make the finals. I would give the edge to the Pacers.

Battier, Allen, Chalmers, Cole, Haslem, etc......all guys who may come to play one night, then might go 4 games in a row and not do anything.

They have to change that if they are to 3-peat. They honestly should have lost these finals, and they almost lost to Indiana. Remember that Wade is going to be a year older and his body breaks down more and more with each year. If they don't make the sacrifice for next season to make the roster better, then they will not 3-peat. I say trade Wade or Bosh and get some solid, consistent players.

Do that, and a 3-peat is pretty much assured.

As a Mavs fan, I would take a chance on him because we may not have much of a choice. Cuban is going to go hard after Dwight, but why would he pick Dallas over Houston and a much younger roster with an up and coming star?

I would take a one year shot on Bynum and hope he comes through.
 
I think you can still win with the big 3. Although it really is the big 1 and little 2. It is not going to be easy, but they are going to have to skew younger in their wing help and not go after guys like Allen and Lewis.
 
I forgot to mention Chris Bosh.

He didn't do anything on offense but he played a great game on defense last night. He forced Duncan into a lot of tough shots and he held his ground, rarely allowing Duncan to get to his spots.

They need more of that from him going forward.

The issue with that is that they don't have the cap room due to the 3 guys taking up all the space. So they have to continue to go after those types of guys or hope some younger guys are willing to make the sacrifice in pay in order to win a ring.

If not, then you have to send either Wade or Bosh packing via trade to clear some room to acquire younger, better players.

He played well defensively in game 6 too, and his defense and rebounding were huge in completing that comeback.

They have to be smarter with their picks. I've beat this to death, but they could have had Moultrie or Ezeli with their pick last year to address some size issues. They have to use those picks smartly.
 
I want the Sixers to look a little outside the box and consider trading Thad and Turner. Preferably I'd like to see Bennett slip a little and for them to try and package 11 and one of them to move up to get him.

I'd only trade Thad for the right deal.

I'd trade Turner for just about anything.
