He basically said that you didn't have to be very smart to play or manage in baseball.

To make his point, he pointed out that a third of the players in baseball were Dominican.

I can't stand Cowherd, but he was citing statistics that the DR doesn't have a good academic record. There average education is something like 6th grade. He's an idiot, but he basically got fired for stating facts. If his contract wasn't up he wouldn't have been fired. This is basically just ESPN being petty as shit

Yes, but he had to come back and explain what he meant. He should've said that when he initially made the comments.

I'm not one of those pansies that gets easily offended, but I can see how this could have rubbed people the wrong way.
 
we are at fault for letting the MLB dumb down our sport by allowing Dominicans in. Get rid of them and baseball is for smarty-pants again.

I agree with this. He's said things that are much worse but they always let it slide. But now that he's on his way to FOX they all of a sudden decide to take a stand. :jerk

They even had a segment on his comments on Friday's PTI. They rarely address one of their on air talents' missteps, but again, since he's heading to FOX I guess they wanted to fan the flames a bit to bring additional exposure the controversy since he's now FOX's problem.

I liked Augusta. It had nice scenery and generally seemed like a nice place. It reminded me a bunch of Lubbock accept with trees and black people. Wow, there are a ton of black people there. I am kinda jealous because we only have white folks and Mexicans.
