I think Dallas is using a "short board" again that is prioritized.
I don't have nearly enough knowledge about the draft to hate it. However, I was not thinking swing tackle at that spot. It is fine if he can play & can be RT in a couple years but not what I was hoping for there. I guess I have irrational love for Ajayi even with a potential EXPLODING KNEE!!!
I felt the same way, and wanted Ajayi there too. Hell, if it was up to me, we would have traded up for him. But we as fans fall in love with players that we know or have followed thru college. If we're honest with ourselves, we don't know shit about the vast majority of the players drafted each year. Which makes it look all the more retarded to throw the tantrums we're seeing out of some.
Yeah, I wish the team would draft all of my pet cats every year, too. But realistically, if they did, they'd probably be picking in the top five every year.![]()

I know im late to the party, but the Randy Gregory pick in the 2nd round turned this draft from a C+ to an A- immediately. Thats a top 20 talent at #60. I'm more than happy to take that risk in the second round, especially with the horrible luck we have with the 2nd round picks in the past. He fills a huge void but will take a few weeks into the season to find his nitch. Not a day 1 starter, but is a huge upgrade in a position of need down the line. Give that man a few Whataburgers amirite Iamtdg?

This has been one of my complaints about the Cowboys in general. We just don't seem to rank all that many players. Even at the start of the draft our board just isn't very big and it seems like we don't rank some really talented players at all. The guys we have drafted in recent years seem to be very well scouted by us but I just don't get why you wouldn't have a draft board with like 300 names on it.
I love the first two picklw...Green looks more like a LT to me.
