26-22 my sons football team is leading, but the opposing team has the ball on our 3 yard line with 30 seconds left. He is lined up at RDE and tells the DT to play back a bit so he can split his gap assignment for him...so he does that at the snap, hits the gap between the C/G and tackles the QB, strips him, and recovers the fumble. Game ender. It was awesome.

There is nothing like watching your boys do some good things on the field.

It is better when you are coaching them...first time in years I have not coached him. We have basketball and baseball coming up and I can coach in those leagues, but the Nebraska mafia will not let me in the youth football league. They hand teams down from generation to generation.

I missed coaching this season a ton, but it does help you gain perspective and allows you to grow as a coach, without coaching...if that makes sense.

No doubt. This is my first year not coaching in many years.

Nobody can come up with a physics equation that equals him being about to throw 55-60 yards strikes as a freshman and at that size but he does.
 
That stature mixed with a family history of brittle ankles could spell doom.

Stick Horse or Smiley Stick...that is what he is affectionately referred to as from coach.
 
I don't know how I have missed out on Honey Crisp apples to this point in my life, but they are worth the extra money.

Ding Ding chicken Dinner?


About the only time I hear the chicken dinner one is on Wacos ESPN radio station in the afternoon from probably the oldest sports talk show host in the land.
