I ate a bunch of crappy food and had zero good times. Ride on a boat for 2 days, get off boat for 4 hours to see Mexicans and then get back on a boat for 2 days to go home. Naw.

First, what cruise line. Some are excellent with good food, others suck ass.

Also, I bet you take a cruise to Alaska or the Caribbean, you will feel differently.

We went with Carnival (Triumph). We were stuck in the gulf for a while today because the oil tanker crash/spill was in our port. It set us back about 8 hours. Not really a big deal.

Basically being stuck on a boat in a giant night club for 4 days is not my deal. It wasn't terrible but not awesome either.

I think I am ruined since my trip to Cancun in one of the nicest resorts on the planet. The food was good at times with Carnival but I eat pretty good food regularly. The food at the Moon Palace was outstanding.

Carnival is the Bottom feeder of cruise lines in my opinion. If you want higher end food, entertainment and better ports of call, try a line like Holland America as an example. They are higher but you get what you pay for as crises go.
