2026 Season | Week 4 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys @ Texans | 10/04/2026

Watching the all-22 of Guyton is crazy, he was left 1-on-1 most of the game and played so well that I was left wondering if Hunter is cooked now that he's 32.

Anderson got him pretty good a few times but he's also arguably the best defensive player in the league, so that's understandable.

And Steele deserves credit, I'm grading on a curve here, but he held up a handful of times against Anderson 1-on-1 and didn't get Dak killed. He got his ass whipped several times as well, but the fact that he was able to hold up well against Anderson for a single snap was kind of remarkable.

How many times did Turd Ferguson fail on chips? You figure he was supposed to help Steele frequently.

Since Bijan Robinson was the inspiration...he didn't qualify since he's only had two qualifying seasons, here are his stats excluding tonight's MNF
  • Career 53.3%
  • 2026 Week 1-3 60.6%

ChatGPT: For NFL running backs with at least 8 seasons of 1,000 rushing yards, provide me a Top 10 list for highest career average Success %

Dickerson 49.4%
Edgerrin James 49.3
Payton 48.8
Franco Harris 48.3
Thurman Thomas 47.9
Bettis 47.3
Emmitt 47.2
Dorsett 47.2
Faulk 47.2
Barry Sanders 46.1

Interesting. Not sure what to make of this if James, Bettis, and Thomas are in the conversation.

Yeah, some interesting names on those lists. Anybody notice Mike Pruitt at #1?

May sound biased, but high success % combined with his notoriously low YPA for Jerome Bettis makes me think he’s getting a higher share of 3rd and short conversions, not as many 1st and 10s or 3rd and longs.

Hell, Moose had career 54% success rate, but obviously his limited rushing volume as the occasional short-yardage option

Thurman Thomas fell off quickly and didn’t dilute his career stats with many over the hill seasons, but combined with his respectable career 4.2YPA and receiving ability that’s not considered here, makes you consider if he’s a bit underrated due to his Super Bowl failures.

I don’t know what to make of Edgerrin James

A few things:

  • Watching Kenny Clark in that hype huddle made me want to run through a wall
  • Rashan Gary can be playful, but at the same time make you feel like he will murder you
  • Overton looked like he was about to kill Von Miller on the sidelines if he kept fucking with him
  • Downs walking that sideline slapping hands and talking people up makes me like him even more if that's possible
  • Obo doesn't seem real smart. He headbutted Quinnen on the sideline with no helmet on. :lol
  • The more times I see that long Pickens catch the more amazed I am. That was one bad ass reception. Such control over his body to squeeze himself into the right position for the catch. Good shit.

First thought was so he's Cujo... But then I realized NoDak might murder me for not saying him.

That was one of my favorite parts of the entire clip.
