Nowhere else to really put this, but how can you find someone guilty of murder for something that happened 30 years earlier? For instance, do cops always keep evidence for 30 years? This whole trial has been weird to me. I am obviously no expert, so lawyers please chime in and educate me.
It was a drive-by so I'm not sure if there is any physical evidence. I just don't know. Without physical evidence you have, what, witness statements? If you have enough to convict him now, why wasn't this person convicted 30 years ago? Just odd to me.I think it depends. There's no statute of limitations for murder so they will often try to retain evidence for cold cases indefinitely.
