I was wrong. I actually looked it up this morning because I was curious. TTU has almost 90,000 employees and students. So, these cretins got 1.7% of the total people at Tech to sign their retarded petition.

I may root for Tech a few times this year.

It's crazy to me how messed up the school system is. Like if someone hasn't developed enough to move on to the next grade, don't move them up. It's not benefiting anyone. Other than I'm guessing the school in some capacity.

Capacity is the key word. If you held back every kid who deserved to be held back, you'd have classrooms teeming with new 5th graders and kids who had to repeat the 5th grade. Instead, they're promoted and become the next teacher's problem.

And graduation rates would drop, which then looks bad on the school. I get it. It's the everyone gets a trophy generation. But the real problem is kids aren't even willing to do the bare minimum amount of work to get by, because they no longer have to. If they knew they would be held back, maybe it would at least motivate them to do the bare minimum so you don't end up with kids in highschool who can't read and write. It's not an issue of a learning disability, it's an issue of being lazy.

Well that is basically the deal and it has been for how long?

All I know is I have two kids that have graduated and went to higher education under different societal circumstances. One went through a brutal indoctrination into what our superior college and university experience is like and another did not.

Both are still struggling.
