Maybe more of a robot now, but you know it won't be long before things like this have AI.
You misspelled terrifying.Well, that sounds shitty.
Were you with us during Covid? It sounds like progress to me.
Were you paying attention?Do you mean...was I alive?
Were you paying attention?
My question is better. Were you paying attention?
And, of course, it would never ever been misused for malicious intent. This is what is happening with that story. I would say it's a big step towards some very beneficial developments for humanity.
"Stanford researchers used AI genome language models to design complete bacteriophage genomes from scratch, resulting in 16 functional viruses that infect and kill E. coli bacteria in lab tests."
And, of course, it would never ever been misused for malicious intent.
Off the top of my head I can't think of one single unchecked, unregulated instance of human progress that can be used for harm that this could.A lot of human progress could also be used for harm.

And, just like criminals that absolutely don't carry guns in gun-free zones, anybody wanting to use AI to manufacture viruses for harm will definitely seek out a lab that is using standard U.S. laboratory biosafety practices. These tests are not unchecked or unregulated.
"This Stanford/Arc Institute work on AI-generated bacteriophage genomes (using models like Evo) was performed under standard U.S. laboratory biosafety practices appropriate for non-pathogenic bacterial viruses and their E. coli hosts."

More like did you see the movie "I am Legend"
HE was the monster!
