The Music Thread...

I used to be one of those mix-tape dudes. I think every person I ever dated got a Gold Maxell cassette or finally a burned CD.

I started looking up songs on Spotify for me and the wife songs that hit our soon to be 30 anniversary of dating.

Good Christ on a Hovaround, there was some real trash even then. I have no idea what to do.

There are bangers I love from 1996.

My bangers.

Not the Spice Girls, LeAnn Rhimes, Oasis, Toni Braxton and and the all time get the fuck out of here songs like “You’ll always be my baby” by Mariah Carey.

I got most of hers filtered out but this kinda tough.

So you used to make all your girlfriends a mix tape? I didn't know that was a thing.

Anyway, you're right. Not much good from those years IMO. In fact, a lot of songs I used to think were okay from those years I can't stand to hear anymore. Not sure why. Somehow a bunch of those dudes sound whiney to me now.

Yeah, that was my thing. I was a bit psychotic about it now I think back.

And to the rest of your post, yes, I cannot tolerate most of the popular male vocalists from then. I tolerated Oasis, Bush for example. Like you said, whiney.

Did you collect their hair in a box and sniff it when they weren't around.

Oh fuck you. Most of them were bitches I never should have wasted my time with.

I just watched High Fidelity and it reminded me.

Good movie. Had it on VHS back in the day

Song from the Basketball Diaries. This band is Alice Cooper Joe Perry and Johnny Depp. I wasn’t expecting much but they really nailed it this.
