The Wimmen Thread...

White girl showing up the black girls. Can't have that. Must destroy.

Can I just say though that this is why the wnba sucks?

First time ever that someone in the wnba had 40 points 10 assists? Seriously, the first time?

It's probably happened 1000 times in the NBA.

And, the person that did it is hated by the league she did it in. Just makes no sense to me.

Tiger joined what was basically an all-white sport and was embraced. Funny how it doesn't work in reverse.
Said it before, but I've never seen so many grown men worship an athlete the way they did Tiger. I don't mean they were fans, I mean fainting adulation like teenage girls seeing the Beatles.

And the vast majority were white dudes from a supposedly country club sport. If there were a tenth as much racism as they claim, that never would have happened.

It's like that whole organization is run by a bunch of toddlers.

I don't pay much (or any) attention to the WNBA, but from afar I don't understand why they seem to continually push back against the only things that make the organization popular when they've struggled for fans or even any attention at all since their inception.

They should be amplifying this stuff.

No kidding, it's one of the most well know things about the WNBA right now. And instead of capitalizing on that, you want to bury it so that people go back to not caring about your league. That's just stupid. I'm not saying this is the reason they aren't profitable. But they would lose less money if they at least tried to market the league in ways people actually care or are paying attention. You've got a viral clip that actually has a chance to grow the league and put money in the pockets of the league/players. But instead you determine not to take advantage of something that is pure gold.

None of them has any marketing skills, it appears.
