"Sometimes the people who guard the past die for it." There have been so many examples of this throughout history. The first thing a winning nation does is burn the conquered nation's history. It's been that way forever, and it's why the left likes toppling statues. And, most importantly, if the country ever did get a divorce, there would be men and women die trying to protect our past.

You can certify a building as green and get these same credits. All you gotta do is have like a retention pond and the right kinda lightbulbs (okay maybe a little more than that) and you can get your LEED certification. All it takes is money. Government oversees (and gets paid for) the analysis and certification ratings, and then the tax payers pay for the tax breaks. So, the government actually double-dips in most of these green scams.
