2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

The only solution is

I couldn’t agree more. In fact, I do believe concussions and CTE cause mental issues down the road in life. But you can’t correlate every player that dies at a young age or tragically from mental problems as the result of CTE. Where’s the nuance? Are you going to study the players entire life for causality? Of course they aren’t.

This is pretty obviously agenda driven, and the NFL makes so much money, they either pay out or move towards guardian caps or some other outrageous thing that gives the appearance that they give a shit.

Where are we as a society that we can’t accept some things are more dangerous than others? Is everyone just stupid? Or opportunistic? Just terrible people? Or all of the above. Yes football is dangerous to your health. In the year 2026, that should be well understood by any person above the age of like 10. It can be very lucrative but the offset of that, is it can be damaging to your health. If you don’t like those odds, don’t play the fucking game.

Sorry, I’ll stop myself from going on a complete rant. Football players have all kinds of health and body issues later in life. Just like tightrope walkers are more likely to die from fall damage, than me or you. File that in the “no shit” category.
They are clearly opportunistic and prolly trying to get the Kneeland's to sue. Greed can be a dark side of grief.

Hopefully they let things be, for their own peace of mind.

Yeah, tone it down. He is a guy you maybe sign after week one because you lost strong depth.

Wouldn't Miller be a better fit at OLB in this scheme?

Also, Miller had 9 sacks last year.

Sign me up.

He would but Clowney has played OLB too (Baltimore most recently) and been fine. I think he might've even started out as a 3-4 OLB in Houston.

I just don't think Miller has much juice left and most of his sacks last year seemed to be clean up/hustle sacks, he doesn't seem to have the ability to really win around the edge anymore.

Progress stopper.

He chews up a roster spot since he will not do anything else but situationally rush. I am not at that point of desperation yet.

That's true. I'm not sure knocking Williams or Liufau down the depth chart or off the roster entirely worries me a whole lot though.

I'd happily take Miller or Clowney over Williams or Liufau, I realize the ST value those two bring, but ultimately I know neither will do shit defensively so fuck em.

At least Clowney played pretty well just eight months ago and can play the run. Miller I think is pretty washed. If you look like a solid playoff team a couple months into the year and need some depth as a DPR, then maybe.

I understand he lost a step and so forth.

But it's hard for me to believe a guy who had 9 sacks is completely washed up.
