The Artificial Intelligence Thread

I'm going to insist they speak like Boomhauer.

Man, I tell you whut, man... dang ol' Grok here tryna do a Boomhauer, man... talkin' all fast 'n' slurpy 'n' whatnot, man... I mean, you know, it's like, them boys Hank 'n' Dale 'n' Bill, man, they out there fixin' up that ol' truck 'n' drinkin' 'em some Alamo Beer, man... shoot, I reckon it's hotter'n a two-dollar pistol out here in Arlen, Texas, man... dang ol' global warmin' or whutever they call it, man... I mean, you know, pass me that dang ol' propane, Hank, man... yeah man... mmm-hmm... you got dang ol' right. Tell you whut, man... I'm fixin' to mow that lawn, man... but first I'ma talk real fast for 'bout five minutes straight 'bout nothin', man... yeah... that's my impression, man... booyah.

This is now happening all over the country. I am really proud of this generation. They know how dangerous it could be, and they are standing on their principles.

How much have you guys used the AI search engines lately? I've been working on a couple of projects and they've helped me tremendously. Yesterday I was doing something and ran into some issues and it saved me probably hours of my own searching of message boards, etc. to figure things out. It still makes mistakes, but it seems like fewer than even six months ago.

And I still wonder which ones you think are best and worst. Said it before, but I've had the best results from Google and Grok, which are pretty similar, and to me GPT-5 (through Duck AI) is not even close -- it both makes more mistakes and is far less friendly. But I see people (including on here) saying Gemini stinks? And GPT has a ton of fans? Is it ideological? I see a lot of people I know are lefty types who love GPT. But the things I've been searching on aren't political at all. So not sure.

The only ones I use regularly are Grok and Google AI, and Grok seems to be much better. I only use Google sometimes for easy stuff to make sure I don't bump into my limit for Grok.

What is the limit? I've seen 20 questions, but is that per day, per session?

Any idea what is happening on Google's when it says something like the content wasn't generated, try again later. This has happened several times, usually after picking up a convo after a while (but not always).

Grok is my favorite. I use it for work every week. Your info checks out on Chat GPT, always reminds me of a granola-crunching hippie chick.
