2026 OTAs and Minicamp Thread...

My few notes...

BS wasn't a totally different guy, but not as goofy as he sometimes was last year.

Downs? Too much pressure on all these rookies right away, there will be mistakes from all of them, but he's a guy who you tell him something and he never makes the same mistake twice.

Said he spent almost 100% of his time on offense last year, but so far this year he's 50-50. Much more comfortable with Klayton Adams running everything this year. Went out of his way to praise KA with CP getting so much love, which is probably smart.

Aforementioned LT battle.

Did say Guyton worked hard, said he came into the office for something Saturday morning and the only two players here were Guyton and Mafah.

Praised Seat Belt ~click~

Said EZ and Bland would definitely be good for TC and said Bland's foot was all good. (I hope so but I'm a little skeptical on that one.)

Praised Jerry mucho. :puke

Emphasized all the disguise on defense. Post snap confusion for QB is key to pressure and sacks (as we all know). Said yes, a more team-oriented rush is better than one guy you can key on.

I left out the obligatory Pickens questions about why he wasn't here. :dunce

Reports saying Thompson was with the rehab group but nobody knows why. Wonder what's wrong with him.

- Phil Mafah looked good with his first-team reps

How do you determine if a RB looks good or not while practicing in shorts with no contact?
He caught a TD? Maybe he knew who to block in pass pro?

Yeah, remember when Miles Sanders looked like the best back on the team this time last year. You can't tell anything from a RB at this sort of stuff.

I can tell from my couch without seeing anything Mafah looks better than Sanders.

I mean I want Mafah to be good. I love the big bruising RBs. I just can't imagine an OTA is really displaying his particular skill set. Not much truckin going on.
True, but on the other hand if his weakness is the other non-physical stuff and he does that okay, maybe that's a good sign.

It probably doesn't mean much, but it's still better than hearing he looked awkward, missed calls, dropped passes, etc.
