Unfuckingreal.

From Grok:

Will it actually work?

It’s mostly political theater for now. A state trying to tax 100% of federal settlement/payout money raises serious legal questions (Supremacy Clause, potential unconstitutionality, etc.). It will almost certainly face lawsuits. Newsom knows this — it’s more about signaling opposition and rallying his base than a guaranteed policy win.

This is peak 2026 political absurdity: one side creates a big payout fund for their supporters, the other side vows to confiscate it all via taxes.

“Signaling opposition?” Is that still necessary? We know you’re fucking opposed.

My understanding is the Bills (Writs) of Attainder make this move 100% unconstitutional. So, yes, just political theater.

Bills of attainder are explicitly banned by the U.S. Constitution:
  • Article I, Section 9, Clause 3: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed." (Federal prohibition.)
  • Article I, Section 10: Prohibits states from passing them.
This reflects the framers' intent to uphold separation of powers (legislatures shouldn't act as judges) and protect due process.Modern courts use a three-part test to identify an unconstitutional bill of attainder:
  1. It imposes punishment.
  2. It targets specific individuals or an easily identifiable group.
  3. It does so without judicial trial.

This just screams fraud. What would an illegal with little income be able to do with a solar panel? It takes a fair amount of money to wire a solar panel into a house's electrical system. So, what's the goal here if it isn't meant to be fraud?

Yep. Not even Trump supporters think that way. At least not that I have met.
Llamas as much as admitted it: the Trump endorsement would likely hurt Pratt, so he wanted him to praise Trump.

Fucking Dem activist posing as an unbiased reporter.

Fuck that Llamas guy. Everything is seen through the prism of Trump? Only if you're a TDSer.

What a fucking tool. They just want him to slip up and say something positive about Trump. Then they can apply their HateTrump maneuver.

How is the state best known for oil production outperforming Commiefornia in green energy? Fucking hilarious

There are wind turbines everywhere, especially near and at the top of the Caprock. Hell, I have 3 of them within a mile of my house.

It’s just a trip because they’re so up their own asses with getting rid of fossil fuels, yet we’re lapping them on the very thing they hold sacred.

Because we are doing things that are practical and sustainable, hence the amount of energy storage which is essential for solar and wind harvesting effectiveness. They want to ban cow farts. We are not the same.
