What say ye?

If our defense can improve from 30th in the league to 18 or so, then 10 wins is feasible.

10-11 but I would've picked 11-12 if it was an option.

The defense will be fine, maybe just average or above average but I can't see it tanking.

My real concern is the offense taking a step back, either due to an injury to Williams, our OT's being shit, Pickens being an asshole or Dak having a poor year because of his wife bullshit.

If we get last year's offense or something close to it I think we'll easily get to 11 wins, maybe even 12 or 13 with a little luck.

Make it official, fags. Vote in the poll or you will not be entered to win the prize.

This is the challenge. When you go into an offseason and basically say, the offense was great, don't touch it and then only work to improve the defense, I think that sometimes you can see a step taken back by the side of the ball that you ignored in the offseason. I'm not saying we didn't need to focus on the defense because it certainly needed a lot of help after last year. But I do wonder if we shouldn't have at least put in a little effort to improve the depth on offense. Even if it was just a fourth/fifth round pick on a RB and WR.

I'm not worried about the offense but I also recognize that we could be one issue away from the offense not being scary again.

It's sort of like the Rams taking a QB in the first round and basically saying, well we are so talented we don't need anything. So we can afford to draft a developmental QB in the first. That sounds great but it also comes with a little hubris that you can't somehow get better.

@Cotton you going to vote in your own poll?

I'm voting 10-11. I think the defense finally has a coordinator and enough coaches on the field to actually get lined up right (literally half the battle) and play.

I think a full offseason will be great for the DL and its two leaders, Clark and Williams. They'll have Toia, Ogbonnia, and Overton ready to play. The DE/Edge/OLB room has talent and depth for sure with Houston, Gary, Ezeiruako, Lawrence, Williams, and even Tyrus Wheat.

We are fine at ILB with Overshown, Barham, Winters, James, and Liufau (this is where I think he'll settle, not at edge), and Robinson on the outside looking in

Safety has changed completely with Hooker, Thompson, Downs, and Bell.

I'm a little concerned at CB with Bland, Revel, Durant, Locke, Moore, Carson, Bridges, and one other guy I'll never remember on the outside looking in.

Where I'm most concerned is OT and TE.

TE has good blocking from Spann-Ford, solid receiving from Ferguson, OK depth from Schoonmaker, and this new guy Fant, but they could use new blood in next year's draft.

OT is we are purposely ignoring how bad our fucking choices have performed. I mean WTF? Guyton and Steele take turns playing like total shit. Thomas looked promising until he actually started some games, and then I almost felt sorry for Dak.

Shelton has a lot of hopes pinned on him. From our top two, you can't even rely on basic performance play in, play out, and it's only because Dak has been stellar that we at times can get past this...

Except against decent teams. They harassed Dak to no end in 2025 and people forget this.
  • Denver fucking humiliated our vaunted 'great' offense.
  • Detroit and even Minnesota kept us well in check.
  • Dak managed some heroics vs the Chargers, but didn't get a lot of help.
  • We thought Chicago was bad when they played us, but they made our offense look truly below average, thanks to pressure and disguised coverages.

Guyton and Steele are the biggest reasons we won't win playoff games in 2026, because we can't score when we need to or get pressured into turnovers, regardless of all the numbers and hype from 2025 driven disproportionately high vs the Jets, Commanders, Raiders, and other scrubs.

Even still, there are a few games, Green Bay, Carolina, maybe the Chargers, where had we gotten decent defensive play I think we'd have won. Add in that throwaway loss vs the Giants in the finale and we have our 3-4 more wins, even though the Giants themselves have improved in a lot of areas being one of the few teams having a better draft than we did.

I always do. But, it's not proper for the person that starts it to vote first. It's like the person in a meeting calling for a motion and second. If you call for the motion you can't call for the second.

Would feel better saying 12 if Pickens would get straightened out, but I feel pretty safe with 10-11.

10-11, but our OL keeps us from threatening anyone really good in the playoffs should we make it.

Part of me gets a sense that there's way too much optimism around the team right now and the past "30 years" have taught me not to trust it.
Absolutely fair enough. If one isn't at least a little hesitant to drink the koolaid after 30 years of what we as fans have gone through they are most likely posting at the Zone.

I voted less than 7 because my luck states that since we have to give our top pick to the Jets its going to be really high.

Listen I’m one of the more pessimistic people on here in regards to Jerry and Co and I think he runs too much of a circus to ever win it all, but I’d be shocked if this real doesn’t win 10 games if everyone is healthy
