2026 College Football Chatter

WTF is that last part? Now a drug problem?
Seems like a very odd and insincere way to apologize. Almost like he is making light of it. My understanding is he will never play college ball again. If I were him I think I would be taking this a bit more seriously.

Had to Grok it and I do remember that now. I would have laughed about it even so if it wasnt for Tech being so high ranked. F him. I bet he doesnt fell bad at all. :unsure

I mean I can't see him playing football in college again if he bet on games his team played in. I'm not even sure what the supplemental draft would look like for him. RAIDER!!!!

I wonder if the NFL might do something too. I can't imagine they'd just pretend it never happened regardless of whether he was in the league at the time or not. It's a pretty big deal and they would look pretty retarded if they just let him in without consequences and then he got caught doing it again.

My guess is some team would take a flyer on him late in the supplemental but there's a pretty big risk and no guarantee he's a pro quarterback.

Did he ever play baseball at any point? :unsure

Yeah I mean I wouldn't be surprised if all the owners got together and suddenly this guy doesn't get picked in the supplemental draft. It's a pretty big risk for the league if he games on the games once he is in the NFL. That's an integrity issue that goes way bigger than the wife beaters, druggies and such as far as the owners are concerned.

I don't even think it would have to be collision. I think 32 owners could independently decide that a guy who gambles on games is bad news.

I don't think it would have to be but I wouldn't be surprised if they colluded and the guy was blackballed. Otherwise you risk one squirrely owner, Jerry Jones, going I just found my Dak replacement for peanuts.

Yeah I think more stuff like that happens than maybe people realize.

Even if it's just a carefully worded email where it just lays out exactly what the facts are and a reminder that the integrity of the league is important and what recourses are available regarding league discipline if something were to happen. That would probably be a strong enough message without them having to literally say don't take him.
