2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

I'm just hoping they don't go dumb and take this guy Konga two rounds too early or something along those lines, just keep it on the fairway and we should be good to go.

That worries me a little too. Like they planned to take a couple guys they really liked in the fifth. But we traded away those two fifth round picks so now we just use the fourth on them instead. Like Konga with a late fifth I'm good with. Konga with an early fourth, fuck that there will be better options available.

Konga’s rankings are all over the place. Initially you’d see him everywhere down around 215 or so. The last month, he’s been moving all over. I’ve seen him ranked as high as 112 with some still keeping him around 190-210. So where exactly does this guy belong?

Not 92 that's for sure, if they take him in the 4th I wouldn't be too upset but 92 would be bad.

For me personally? I think the fifth. I think he is a really good run stopper who is also a really good athlete. I don't think he really has any pass rushing skills at this point in time. I'd be happy to use the one fifth we have left on him. Maybe even the very late fourth. But to me that's reaching. He is just super raw and I'm basically drafting him on potential. I'm not real comfortable doing that too early,

A lot of it just depends who is left when our picks are up. I've always said, with day three picks I'm just trying to get the best players possible. I don't care about position I only care that I'm hitting on the pick at that point. So when I say BPA, I'm all about pure BPA on day three. And I just don't know who will be available still at the picks we have in order to say if I'd take Konga.

I like him. Or I should say, I like his measurables and ceiling. Never even heard of this guy until a couple months ago. But I’d be scared to spend more than a fifth or sixth on him. He could also be a complete whiff. I want more of a proven commodity in the fourth. Certainly not in the third.

Yeah we just need to hit on players in the fourth round. Guys that are good enough to eventually start games and will be here for the full 4 year contract.

Yep. If not start, be good reliable depth. Hurts to completely miss on players in the first four rounds. A little more understandable later in the draft.

Wonder what happened to the couch - auction?
:lol

ESPN has us taking Elijah Sarrat wr Indiana at 92

I'm disappointed no reporter asked Jerruh if we offered Jonathan Mingo in the trade with Philly

Jerruh mentioned teams jumping up one spot ahead to draft their player.

Seeing reports that Steelers Ryan Shazier in 2014 was one instance.

Alright. Checking in.

Bottle of Glen - Check
Not So Emergency Doob - Check

Enchiladas for supper.

I still do not understand that trade. It is almost like somebody important felt some sorta way about him. Other than their draft bios, someone in the building had a hard on for him. I bet that was a McClay swing and a miss.
