2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

What time does the draft kickoff today?

Too late.

And on the subject of Penn State players that I like, I think Dani Dennis-Sutton has all the makings of a 3-4 DE.

He's really strong and can hold up the point of attack and he's great against the run.

I think his ceiling is a better version of Marcus Spears.

I wouldn't hate that pick in the 3rd, but I'd love it in the 4th.

I would love love LOVE to get one of the Penn State RBs before this draft is over.

I think both guys are gonna be successful NFL players and while I'm a bigger fan of Kaytron Allen, I think Nic Singleton would pair better with Javontae.

Either way, give me one of those guys and I'll be over the moon.

Love both of them. Very underrated players. I think both are capable of high carries at decent production.

Murdock has been getting late buzz and talked about as a guy that could move into the 6th or even 5th. Just crazy production.

Another late guy we have interest in that has been seen to be moving up is Rene Konga.

Maybe we can get Murdock at 152.

Sitting through this 2nd round watching players fall off is going to be painful.

Guess I gotta just keep in mind that 2nd went towards getting Quinnen Williams.

Part of me wants to use our newfound 4ths to move up for one of the LBers. But the other part of me wants to sit and see what falls to 92 and use that with our three 4ths to mine the fallen gold.

:panic

We need a lot. I'm more inclined to sit back.

Great athlete too. I agree, but I think he will be gone by pick 92.

Devin Moore would be interesting at CB. He’s huge and a really good tackler. Igbinosun is the same way. I like Abney and Rivers, but they are on the smaller side. Abney is physical though.

I have a feeling he won't be there and with having Downs at nickel now I'm not sure Scott's a good fit as an outside CB.

But I think maybe guys like Muhammad, Davis, and Lee are possible there.

Yeah I think the focus has to shift to guys who are more outside corners but could play the slot. I don't think we need a slot only corner now that we have Downs. You're more or less looking for a fourth corner on the depth chart. Probably someone who doesn't ever see the field until an injury happens.

You've already got 2 starting safeties that can play the slot. You've got essentially 3 outside corners. So realistically you're looking for your fourth outside corner.

I like Abney and I think he can play inside or out.

Igbinosun scares the piss out of me. Guy had an insane amount of PI's. He is real grabby and panics a lot.

Can we do this and still have enough capital to move to the 2nd without giving up our 3rd?

You maybe could move the current third into the second round with 2 fourth round picks. But I haven't looked at the trade chart. You're probably talking late second round in that instance. That would leave you one last fourth round pick to trade for Brooks.

I'm not doing that though. The only reason I'm trading up into the second round at this point is to get my starting LBer. To then use what little picks I have left to trade for a one year rental at LBer just doesn't really make much sense to me.
