2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

If we hadn't taken him, I have zero doubt that he would have been taken in the next few picks. I would have been ok taking him at 20. Getting him after picking up a couple 4ths is just gravy.
This couldn't have gone better, honestly. I said earlier today I thought we'd take him after not trading down because we'd be afraid of going down too far and missing out on him. Getting after adding the fourths was even better.

I think we want big 3-4 Dlineman. Not 273 pound DEs. I think Faulk would have needed to add 10-15 pounds for us.

That’s what I’m thinking. There are options on day 2 and 3

That’s not hard for a young kid like him though. 285 is a good size for a 3-4 DE.

I think by his sophomore season that's probably true. He actually looks pretty lean.

When he falls into the second round though I think you'll realize I was right. Poor guy is at the draft too. Just overrated. But I'd take Faulk in the second if I had one.

Perhaps you watched him extensively but he has the traits it looks like. Ware was a lifelong DE too.
Ware had 55.5 career TFL in college to Lawrence’s 28. It was obvious that guy was special in many ways.

I really hope Lawrence pans out. He’s a real good player and a heck of a kid. Character appears to be heavily valued again, only this time we are finding legit players with the character traits we want as opposed to just nice guys.

Yeah. Walking out on stage in a white suit with the shirt half unbuttoned with big sunglasses on was douchey.

Who the fuck did he think was he trying to be, Tony Montana?
This is fucking weird because I was about ready to post someting similar.

Did we just become best friends?
