Out of curiosity what do you hate outside of Faulk at 20? Let's talk about it. Because I like Delane, Height and Elarms-Orr. Faulk at 20 makes me throw up in my mouth but no point in rehashing that one.
Just Faulk. It ruins the entire draft from the start. Then you look at the later picks and while they “fit” I do not see much that would move the needle in the area that kills us with a top heavy roster.

Except for the 5th round (and Faulk) I don't hate this.

Pretty much where I am at. I also realize odds are I'm not going to love what most people do in the fifth round. Because for the most part when a person is doing a mock they are just throwing shit at a wall at that point.

And I like Fisher at the end.

Not that Brad Sham is a draft guru, but interesting comment here. Says he talked to a key member of the team late in the year and asked what they needed, and he said, "We need more grown-ups." This person specifically said Quinnen, Kenny Clark, and even EZ were grown-ups, but it doesn't sound like many others were. And those guys all just got here last year.

Sounds about right, and it would explain Schottenheimer heavily emphasizing character/leadership type stuff.

If they are talking about defense, it makes sense. Quinn let a lot of them act like kids out there.

There is way more deep than you're giving credit. Golday is a certified badass with the protypical size you're looking for. His biggest knock is they moved him around so much that he becomes a slight projection as a full time LBer. But you're talking about a guy who was used as a DE, LBer, nickelback. They moved him all over.

Trotter is a certified beast against the run.

Kyle Louis is probably too undersized but holy shit if you forget the guys size he is incredible as a play maker.

Kaleb Elarms-Orr has the size, elite athleticism and really good production.

Hell I just started watching Rolder from Michigan and he is a hell of a LBer too.

Harold Perkins is an elite blitzer, elite speed. Highly productive.

You can go all the way down to Karson Sharar from Iowa who has really good speed, instincts and is your classic get the job done Iowa LBer.

This LBer class goes real deep beyond Allen, Hill and Rodriguez. I don't think you're giving it the credit it deserves.
It’s less deep than EDGE or CB, that’s all I was saying. After the top four the dropoff is high.

When I saw the somewhat unlikely trade down for a 2nd round pick I knew he was going for one of the remaining three top LB’s.

I like many of the players you mentioned, but I believe the top four are day one starters end of story.

After the top four the dropoff is high.

I'm saying I disagree. I don't think the drop off is that steep. I'd even argue that it's a top 6 and not a top 4. And frankly if we ran a 4-3 I'd say it's even a top 7. Because I think Louis would be the most badass weakside LBer in a 4-3, I just don't know that he fits a 3-4 scheme.
