Just changed out the fan. Went very smooth, thank god. I would have already had it done but turns out my son took my set of precision screwdrivers when he moved out a few years back. But, fan was like 18 bucks and now I have a new 24 piece precision screwdriver set and a laptop that won't overheat when I'm out on the patio.
 
On the porch you dont have to worry about a laptop overheating. Another advantage over the patio.

Outside in August in Texas you worry about even yourself overheating. Porch or Patio either one.
