2026 NFL Draft Chatter

OK now the Kelly visit makes some sense. Random connection but the undraftable quality DE we brought for a 30 visit was a passenger in that car. Tell me that we didn't bring him in to find out about Bain Jr.

Also the careless and imprudent charge was dropped.

Interesting, but I wonder more about how their player career predictions turn out than about which team will take which player. In other words, how well do they actually scout. Gosselin got a lot of team/player picks right because people talked to him, but he didn't know jack about players himself.
That's what my list focused on.

I asked Chat GPT which NFL draft analysts are most accurate when it comes to identifying players who will actually be good, average, or poor NFL players.

I wasn't interested in which draft analyst is most accurate with matching players with teams and rounds. I wanted to know who's the best at identifying talent.

I asked Grok this exact same question:

For talent-focused insight (who will actually be good/average/poor): Prioritize big boards over full mocks. Kiper’s and Zierlein’s have the best historical data backing for performance correlation. Cross-reference with consensus boards (e.g., via The Athletic, PFF, or aggregates) or NFL Network voices—they tend to align closely with how the league actually values players.

:shrug

Yeah, after reading about it in more detail, I’ll retract my statement. I assumed he would have been intoxicated but there is no evidence. Kind of surprising considering it was late at night and during spring break.

Interesting.

Kiper was listed 6th on the list ChatGPT gave me.

The only apparent answer is there is some serious AI bias when it comes to draft evaluators.

I was reading about it and saw a passenger by the name Nyjalik Kelly who later transferred to UCF was a passenger in the car. What a weird coincidence that we used one of our 30 visits on a DE from UCF named Nyjalik Kelly. I mean the good news is I bet Dallas knows everything they need to about the incident.

Doesn't seem like a huge deal although if he's being an asshole about it in interviews that'd be an issue for me.

With that said, we have a 30 visit with one of the former Miami players who were in the car with him (Nyjalik Kelly), I don't think that's a coincidence.

I don't know about being an asshole but teams probably feel like he isn't telling them everything about it. So easiest thing to do is bring in someone that was in the car with them. Probably figured that's the best way to find out all the facts about what happened. Just worked out that one of the people in the car happens to also being a prospect in this year's draft.

needs his own driver like Tiger

The one-off incident isn't a huge concern but if it's a pattern, especially if he's dismissive of it in interviews, it would be enough for me to pass him up at 12 depending on the board.

No way for us to know but given the Ruggs situation I don't think you can just ignore it.

Yeah on the flip side Myles Garrett has a driving record like a mile long. Just something to look into and keep an eye on.
