I forgot we don't have a fifth. I wouldn't be mad at a late 5th for him.

It would be really cool, though, after a big play to be all D BAY!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m not concerned with being good next year. Not right now, we can't do that. The only scenario where I'd be ok with taking anything on offense is if we add multiple extra picks in the top 3 or 4 rounds.
How about let’s not.Let's just hope that Brooks is still on the table for a trade.
I know. Sorry, the extra sleep apparently is going to make me extra annoying. And, I have only had two sips of coffee so far, so be warned.I meant we don't have a 6th.

Add elite players and it will all work out over time.

The words fifth and sixth are pretty close together on the keyboard. Probably just fat-fingered it.All good, I didn't even notice I said that. I blame autocorrect.![]()
He was beaten badly so many times this year it was hard to keep track, including by everyone's favorite Faulk. It's why he went from being talked about as top 5 early in the year to a mid/late 1.
Yeah to be clear I don't want Dallas to draft him. He is a real roller coaster ride though, you are right. Plus he stabbed Iowa in the back like twice committing and then committing to transfer there and backing out.
That offense isn't going to last forever. That's our trump card right now and I'd like to get the defense to at least passable before we're springing leaks in the offense.
How do you feel about Max Llewellyn?
Love him. I actually put both him and Reigor as sort of my day three pass rushers I'd love to get. Llewellyn didn't run a great 40 but I think the 1.64 10 yard split is very respectable. He was the dude on Iowa's Dline. He started as like a pass rush specialist but guys his size aren't usually pass rush specialists. He sort of grew into a great all around player. He has really good first step quickness.
I'd consider him in the fourth round for sure. And I think he will be available for our fourth. Prototype for size.
Yeah I'd love to get him in the middle rounds if we don't do anything at pass rush to that point.

You add an elite RB and WR in this draft and then it will last forever.
And I’m not saying that’s the goal. I’m just saying when you have a guy you think is elite you do it.
Love is elite, taking McCoy or Thineman over him because we “need defense,” is a mistake.
I wouldn't ignore the offense entirely if there is a DUDE available. But I'm way more apt to just move around in the draft and get defense. On day three I'm really open to any good players. I'd prefer them to be on the defense but I've said it before, we just need to hit on day three guys. You can't survive on drafts that only get 2 good players. The only way to really do better is to improve your odds on day three by just getting the best guys available.
But in the first, I just don't see an offensive guy that is going to blow me away at our picks. We are on the cusp with defensive players. Especially if you include McCoy as his 2024 version.
