2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

I was watching the Mighty Ducks (1) when I was like 11. I just turned 43.
I am a decade older than you, so stop rubbing that shit in.

Here's why I think there is probably something to the trade up chatter. These were the guys who went in the first last year who were top 30 visits, when we also had the 12th pick:

Ashton Jeanty
Kelvin Banks
Matthew Golden
Armand Membou
Walter Nolen
James Pearce
Shemar Stewart
Mykel Williams
Jihaad Campbell
Tyler Booker
Emeka Egbuka
Omarion Hampton
Tetaiora McMillan

Jeanty and Membou were generally expected to go top 6-8 but it wasn't a lock by any means, so it was conceivable that one of them may have dropped to 10ish. Having 30 visits with guys like Styles and Downs this year are similar to that in my opinion and didn't really raise my antenna, like they probably go top 10 but it wouldn't be a shock if one dropped to 10-12.

30 visits with guys like Reese and Bailey would've been like if they brought in Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter last year, like what would have been the point of that?

True, although on the other hand last year's top 5 seemed more solid than this year.

You never know with the draft, and you have to be sure of what it is you might be trading up for or what might fall to you. The Cowboys, with a huge need at EDGE, need to know if Bailey is the real deal and if so by how much.

If they think he’s a franchise player, they might trade serious capital to get him, especially should he start to fall. Bottom line they’ve got to do their due diligence on these key players, whether it’s likely they fall to 12 or not

Lastly, they can legally plant the seeds for future free agency during these visits. Sure it’s a long shot, but you never know the future.

Oh please. You were telling us two decades ago how you were schooling fools at the playground.

Do not sell yourself short, young sportsman.

I'm not sure what this means or how it would have any bearing on how I started posting on ESPN at about age 18.

I was on dialup at one point on those message boards. How technology has changed since those days.
I remember when I got DSL for the first time. Man, those pictures loaded so much faster. :unsure
