Newsom is governor of our biggest state and may well become president.

And there is a large sample to support this. Increasing minimum wage = increased unemployment. Every. Goddamn. Time. If they were smart, they'd get rid of minimum wage and let the market set the wage. It would work. And anyone who's taken a freshman economics course knows this. There's no way they're this stupid. Being able to manipulate people is far more important than being truthful.
 
My new favorite comedian Ben Bankas on Triggernometry. Not sure where to put this - it talks about wokeness and cancel culture and being conservative among all that - but it's worth a watch.

Pelosi isn't an idiot. She is a cold, calculative and manipulative bad human who acts only in her own self interest absolutely knowing the lies she is telling and is very willing to sacrifice any individual except herself.

I could get into my conspiracy theories as to why it was formed, but my post would end up looking like a Smitty post arguing about CBs and their insignificance. It would be a TLDR rant.

Yep, same here. I just wasn't sure if it's because I'm getting older or if this is just where the world has turned. Honestly my kids don't watch much for TV shows either. Which is way different than my childhood.

I rarely watched TV as a kid. I would on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but outside of that I was normally outside.

I used to get up early every morning to watch cartoons before school started. I can remember very fondly getting excited for the Friday night TV (I think it was called TGIF).

But my 7 year old couldn't name a TV show she likes. Because there isn't one.

My 4 year old liked Paw Patrol but that was about it. He oddly likes watching Chicago Fire and Zombie shows/movies but nothing regular.

It's just not the same now days with YouTube and streaming options.

We only had 4 channels until I was about 13-14. I pretty much only watched PBS. This is, of course, was before PBS went into the shitter.

My kids are fairly well-rounded. My son spent most of his allotted electronics time on video games. My daughter loves YouTube and the Scream movie series (random I know). They have always had very strict screentime hours. During the summer we gave them 4 hours a day to spread out all day, or to use all at once if they wanted. During the school year it was 2 hour a day except on weekends.

We were lucky enough to get ahold of it at an early age for both. Now my son rarely even takes his phone out of his pocket. But, he is 24 now so the video games have kinda fallen off his radar. And my daughter a lot of times watches sports with me during her electronics downtime. But, like your kids, mine rarely watch TV either. The most TV time my daughter gets is overnight. She goes to sleep with the Weather Channel on. No clue why, but she has as long as she has had her own TV.
