2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

Osa traded to SF for a 3 (92nd overall).

They better use the cap savings to sign/trade for someone half decent, maybe Greenard.

Depends on what else they do, if they bolster another position with someone decent I get it. If they dick around and just sit on the picks without either trading for or signing someone who can at least rotate in, it's BS.

I don't feel like the money really was an issue other than they wanted it to be. They could have restructured him and created plenty of space.

I just feel like he's a better player than you're likely to find in the third.

If it was a second I'd feel much better about it.

Well there goes our supposed basis for the 34, having three good interior linemen...

And now we have another hole to fill.

I don't think they really need another interior DL, at least not a "starter".

I loved the DL depth with Osa but if they can sort of restructure with the pick and cap space it'd be fine.

I doubt they do anything meaningful though.

Who even starts now, unless you play Clark at end and start the new NT? Thomas?

Cool, we now have one more "fine" starter. That's going backwards. And now with all the good free agents gone all we can do is trade picks for guys to use the 16 mil.
No shit. Why not do this a few days ago? Or weeks ago?

The new NT played a lot of DE too. But he has zero pass rush ability. So Osa who could give you 4-6 sack and a bunch of pressure is swapped for zero sacks and few pressures. Ugh, I don't get this.

And aren't the 49ers running a 3-4?

Good news is I can find you a LBer in the third round better than all our LBers outside Overshown. But that's not hard.
