I know there were rumors that he would have been included to get Parsons. But just never bought into it.

I totally agree and Joe fan wouldn't be hyped at all. But I think that would be an awesome player to acquire.

An interesting side note on this is that Baltimore was probably one of the top contenders for Oweh, so if we do indeed shift to the GA market looking for an edge rusher you'd think Oweh would be near the top of the list, after Hendrickson presumably.

I don't know about the accuracy on this. They were talking today that Dallas had discussions but hadn't made an actual offer. But either way, it's giving me hope that we are legit going to attack the free agent market.

And at the same time I'm thrilled we didn't give up a 1 and a 2.

Between 2024 and 2025 Hendrickson played standing up nearly half the time across about 1200 snaps, whereas Crosby played standing up on only about 300 out of 1700 snaps.

I also went through every QB hit, TFL and sack for each of them over that time and Crosby was in a 2-point stance on only maybe 5 snaps out of about 75-100, whereas Hendrickson was standing up on about 1/3rd of the snaps.

Even aside from the picks situation I think Hendrickson is probably a cleaner fit in a 3-4 given that experience, even if he's not quite ideal, since Crosby has almost no experience standing up relatively speaking.

If it were me, and I wasn't on a shoestring budget like these jokers have put themselves on the last 15 years, I'd be going after Oweh or maybe Jaelan Phillips if Parker was banging the table for him. The next tier down I like Chaisson, Paye, Mafe and Dre'Mont Jones, but if we really want to spend money it'd be Oweh, Phillips or Hendrickson.

All things being equal Hendrickson is definitely the best edge rusher available and still probably one of the better ones in the league for the next year or two, but if he costs 30/year and you can get someone younger like Oweh for 20?

I'd go Oweh and use the difference to sign someone like Jalen Thompson.
