Schrager listed specific names for both their OC and DC spots and Leonhard wasn't on it.

Usually if he's naming names on a very specific list like that it's because that's what it actually is. Harbaugh has been telegraphing what he's going to do since he was fired so I'm guessing it's an accurate list, and it also includes the last two Ravens DC's.
 
Reading around, seems some think Saleh is ahead of Joseph for the Cards' job. Not sure why. Supposedly VJ had a very good relationship with management when he was DC there.

Most Broncos fans expect him to get a job somewhere, though some hope he stays because most of his perceived best job chances have no QB, and he learned before that was a dead end.

Not sure its just the fans. Giants beat reporter Art Stapleton mentioned him and Ricky Scoops who I believe has some kind of record on this stuff has mentioned him with the Giants as well.

Jets interviewed him as well. This isn't a slam dunk.

I mean you either pick the guy no one wants or you go for the guy who is best for the job. It's not a slam dunk until there is signature on a contract. But at the same time I don't know that I want the guy that no one is interested in either.

I will say that I don't think the Giants have interview Leonhard. The timing hasn't lined up for that. And the Jets are at a disadvantage because I'm assuming their head coach is still going to want the real control over the defense. We are just a better fit.

And maybe Deronte Jones is a great defensive coordinator. But you're really just hoping he learned a ton from Brian Flores in a short period of time. Because the resume doesn't stand out to me beyond that. And frankly all of the confusing rushes up front sort of make me worried that it covered up coverages because the QB was worried more about the blitzes than the coverages.

Well at least we have ourselves in the mix for these DC candidates. It is not like Campo, Zimmer or Phillips are in the loop. With so many HC openings, it is really weird. I am hoping for Leonhard, but some of the others seem very very green.
 
Christian Parker, Daronte Jones and Gannon are getting in-person interviews.

They have to wait for the Broncos to be eliminated to interview Leonhard in person.

Parker is kind of intriguing to me because fuck the Eagles.
 
We can get Parker and live on the Siriano tree.

I mean the Eagles corners have been playing pretty damn well. Not sure I hate the idea of Christian Parker. And if he has learned anything from Fangio, I've just always been a big fan of Fangio as a defensive coordinator.
 
Parker is a Fangio disciple, has nothing to do with Sirianni, Jason Garrett might as well have been the HC.

My hope would be that he could poach about half the Eagles defensive staff and hollow out the only good unit on that asshole team.

No but I wouldn't hate it, I think I had him towards the back end of my top 10 list before the search started.

My top 3 are Flores, Schwartz and Leonhard, but after that I'd be open to Parker.
