Or maybe they are feeling him out for an assistant position. I don't know that anyone is going to be hot on his trail as a defensive coordinator. The Ravens defense has been on a decline since Macdonald left. Clearly Orr doesn't have the same magic. But maybe he was a good assistant when working for Macdonald, I don't know, and maybe that is what they are shooting for.

That's my guess with these lesser known guys, I don't think they're going to go from 5 straight former HC's as DC to hiring some anonymous random like Orr or Daronte Jones.

Whitecotton is just throwing him a bone when they inevitably keep him as DL coach.

Relax, I'm guessing there's a good amount of staff-building going on in these interviews. There's no way all these guys are on an equal footing as far as probability of being hired as DC.

Just give it a few days until the Flores interview drops.

I'm also glad that they are at least going out and talking to a bunch of people. I'm so used to this team just locking on to one of their buddies and everything else being done to just meet the Rooney Rule or some shit. Remember how exhaustive the search was with Schotty. Or should I say not exhaustive at all.

Pagano has been around a long damn time. Maybe they are picking his brain about assistant coaches. I have no idea but I would hope he isn't in serious consideration.
