Agreed. I appreciate that she felt bad and wanted to sympathize and make him feel better but she should have done it in private if she felt that bad. Very unprofessional in a press conference.

Exactly. The ship has long sailed. Dungy just comes across as old and out of touch to me regardless of if he's technically right. The NFL does tons of unfair things nowadays.

NFL doesn't care about fair, they care about the ratings. That's the answer to the question. If it gives a team an advantage it doesn't really matter to the NFL. It's about the bottom dollar. Ratings equal money and they are in the business of making money.
