2026 NFL Draft Chatter

Arvel Reese is obviously the apple of my eye.

I dunno, I think I might like TJ Parker more than many other of the DL prospects. Bain is a fat ass, Faulk reminds me more of a Chris Canty. Bailey gives me Brandon Graham vibes which is fine.

Parker has the length and the burst. Wouldn’t surprise me if he rises.

Delane gives me Mo Claiborne flashbacks. Downs looks impactful but he will be more successful as a fly around in the box safety, not an Ed Reed.

I dunno, maybe I do go OT and Edge with Parker.

Can’t see the value in RB. Bring back Javonte and give Blue touches. And Mafah. There are your three. Dak led the league in passing attempts and our WR situation demands the ball. Not sure it’s wise to go RB here unless you think Love is a Hall of Famer type talent.

On Love - what if you think he's a Gibbs?

Might not be a HOF'er but I think he compares favorably to Gibbs as a weapon.

On Delane - he's nothing like Claiborne, who failed because he was kind of an idiot and wasn't physical. One of Delane's calling cards is his intelligence and ability to play any sort of scheme/coverage, I think Claiborne was just a man guy who had no idea how to handle the nuances of zone. Delane has unreal feel in zone and of course can play man as well.

Delane is bust proof to me, he does everything well and supposedly has pristine character, I'm just not sure what his ceiling is if he doesn't have elite speed.

I also think Bain is the guy who is similar to Graham, Bailey I'm not sure but he's way more explosive.

I say we keep this simple:

We had one of the better offenses in the league. We had the absolute worst shitstain of a defense in franchise history.

Draft defense.

I mean…. I would prefer to add defense but you have to take BPA if it’s clear.

If you think an offensive tackle is a multi time pro bowler and he’s way ahead of any defender who is left you still need to take the OT.

I mean… was Javonte all that different from Gibbs this year? Age and injuries are certainly a thing but I guess that’s my point… backs can wear down or get hurt easily.

Gibbs was 1100 yards and 13 TDs on a 5.1 ypc, Javonte was 1200 yards and 11 TDs on a 4.8 ypc.

I guess I wouldn’t hate it but I don’t feel like it’s best bang for buck.

I will say it’s probably a given one of those picks is going to DB, so, it might as well be Downs.

I think we keep Javonte anyway. JW was a "win" for Jerry on his beloved "sign a guy cheap coming off injury" blueprint. So he'll be extra incented to keep the player.

There isn't going to be any offensive player who is so far and away better than the remaining defensive players that you have to take him.

There's only one position on offense that would even make sense and that's tackle.

Outside of DT we could use pretty much anything on defense.

So odds are there's going to be a defensive player that makes sense.

But beyond that logic, our defense was among our worst ever, and our offense is top 5. It'd be insane to take anything other than defense.

If we made some serious signings on defense in free agency that would change things, but we won't.

We have almost no choice but to go defense with both our firsts.

Love doesn't do it for me. I don't think he fits what we need. I don't think he is a generational RB. I don't think he will be a workhorse.

Great player but a better fit for an offense that can't pass the ball the way we can.

I dont think we do anything significant at RB other than resign Williams. They will view the young rbs performance yesterday as a reason not to.

I'd be fine with that, actually. Better than wasting more money and time on a Miles Sanders.

I'm good with giving the ypung RBs a chance to be RB2 and 3. As long as neither are stealing underwear.

Would have really helped if they were given more time during the season.
So stupid. I can't believe they did that.

I do understand somewhat on Blue if he's that big a moron, but you should be able to get through to him before week 18.
