He doesn't appear to be healthy at the moment.

But I will say I'd love to see him out there at RT.

Said it from day one that I had my doubts with him at LT and would rather have him at RT.

Move Steele to the more important LT position that way you aren't losing out.

I didn't double check this but I don't doubt it either. Someone on Reddit is saying that the defense has now given up the same amount of 30+ point games so far as they did in 2020 under Nolan. And additionally have already given up more 40+ point games.

I don't doubt it, and it confirms our eye test that the defense this season is just as bad or worse even than 2020.

Hopefully next year Eberflus is coaching alongside Nolan in the AFL or wherever he is nowadays.

That 2020 defense showed signs of getting better as the year went on too, particularly in terms of forcing TO's.

This group just continually gives up extended drives that often end in TD's with the area between the numbers constantly open within about the 5-15 yard range downfield. Like yesterday we had them in 1st and 20 at one point and you knew they would just methodically get about 6-8 yards at a time with such a soft middle of the defense to get into a manageable 3rd down, which is exactly what they did.

Luckily I think it's so bad that Jerry will have no choice.

Didn't Nolan get shit canned mid-season? Eberflus should have never been allowed to keep his job.

We were also the first team to not sack Herbert all year. They're down about four OL and it doesn't even matter. :doh

This defense is an all timer shit stain on the Cowboys legacy.

someone get Houston’s pic of him shitting himself. Perfect for this years D

I think it's literally the worst defense in team history by several statistical metrics.

Of course offensive production is up in the current era so maybe some random 1964 defense was worse, but I think this is undoubtedly our worst defense since at least 1990.

Not only is our defense giving up the most PPG in team history (and who knows what other metrics they're the worst in), they also have 11 fucking turnovers which would be tied for the lowest of any Cowboy team since at least 1980, and who knows how much further back since I didn't feel like going any further.

And which team were they tied with?

The 2015 team that ended up with the 4th pick and had a completely horrific offense all year because Romo and Dez basically missed the entire seasons, and Joseph Randle was our RB.

Give that defense our offense this year and you have to assume they'd have gotten a few more TO's in tighter games.

I think the second lowest in that span was around 15 or 16, so there's almost no chance they can even reach the current second worst total in a 40+ year span.

That Kiffin year was really bad. I'm not sure which was worse but it's the only other one I can think of that rivals this.

They gave up 27 PPG (30 for the current defense) and had about twice as many TO's forced as the current unit, plus they had some mildly respectable showings against half decent teams.

The only team we've kept under 20 all year was the Raiders, think about that.

I always thought 2013 was the worst.

he's not getting to the QB, but at least he has pride
