They’re down two TDs, so they must attempt two conversions. If they kick two XPs, zero chance of winning

Analytics say 2pter conversion is better than 50%, so you’re probable to convert one of two attempts. It’s too ballsy to kick the XP first and then try for the win-or-lose 2pter second.

So the ‘smaht’ method is go for two now. If you miss, then chances are you’ll convert the next 2pter to tie. But, if you do convert the first 2pter, you have a chance to win with an XP next.

So, two XPs can only tie at best, no chance to win. Try 2pter now and you have shot to win and still high chance to tie if it fails.
