I wouldn't draw any conclusions based on today's game. Like Eberflus, my school makes everyone look good. That said, he looks to be the first QB off the board next April. He had a big time throw last week in Happy Valley and was very accurate on that first TD today.

But I was going on last week as much as this one. This game just made me think of it.

Side note, how are your team 3-6? You look better than that.

Has George Pickens played so well that he's priced himself out of Dallas? Or will this be another case of the Cowboys franchise-tagging a player only to pay him top of the market a year or two later? If Pickens ends up elsewhere next season, Denzel Boston is a worthy replacement. He's relatively young and brings the size and downfield playmaking ability that would complement CeeDee Lamb well.

Faulk is one of these DEs you keep expecting to dominate but never does. I just don't think he is an impact defensive player.

And Boston might be a nice receiver but you only do it because you let Pickens go. So in the end it just feels like a step backwards.

This is random and I'm not homering because I'm not like that, but I wanted to throw R Mason Thomas' name out there for an edge. I'm not even sure where he's ranked, but he's maybe the most impressive guy I've seen on OU's defense in several years.

I took a quick peek at some draft sites and it's funny, they all say how undersized he is at 6-2, 249 when Bailey is 6-3 and 250. I do think Bailey has longer arms. Anyway, not saying he'll be as good as Bailey, but I do think he's for real. He's twitchy as can be and has that nose and burst for closing on the QB and making the play that the good ones have.

He's hurt now (he's the one who returned the long fumble for TD vs Tennessee and limped in to the end zone) so he may go even more under the radar, but keep an eye on him. He's a more impressive player than Bonitto was IMO and pretty similar in size.

Looks like he's projected to go in the 1st but it seems like he doesn't get mentioned very much.

I'm keeping an eye on him as a possibility with our second first.

Bruglar has him currently as like 45th best player. So kind of borderline first to second round player. Obviously we all know that stuff changes. We all thought Ez and Green were first round picks last year. And they both went in the second round. So who really knows.

I'd call him a second round DE. Mostly because I think there are a couple undersized pass rushers that will rank higher. Howell and Bailey specifically. There are other DE's that will also go in the first round, but those guys are going to be your full sized DEs. The Bain/Faulk types.

A 6'1" 249 pound pass rusher just rarely goes in the first round unless he goes and blows up with a 4.4 forty.

If they would of beat Texas then I would say 2nd or late first but because the effort wasnt there that day so I question his motivation I think UDFA.
