our offense better not pull a no-show like we did in Chicago

The offense was mostly fine in Chicago outside of the boneheaded turnovers that took at least 7-10 points off the board. Considering that they lost Lamb mid-game and didn't have much time to prepare for that I thought they were ok outside of the turnovers.

The game was out of control by the end of the 3rd because the defense is an absolute piece of shit, but if it weren't for the very stupid turnovers (Williams fumble, Pickens drop, not including Dak's INT late) they would've put up an easy 25-30.

But all that stuff counts. Yes they made mistakes. That doesn't mean they can't make them again. The offense wasn't good enough in Chicago.

Nice summation, but I've already declared this to be a trap game. You need to work within that frame of reality.

Agreed, I'm just saying that to me "laying an egg" means something different than being able to go up and down the field but shooting yourself in the foot with mistakes.

To me it means the offense is completely dysfunctional, can't move the ball, can't protect the QB, so on and so forth.

Maybe this is the one game that we get a little help from a poor QB and offense and our defensive guys can gain a little confidence.

That was supposed to be Chicago
Agree, no doubt that was a disaster, but I think Williams is a talent who can go off at any time. He's a lot better than Tootie.

And I did say "maybe." :unsure

Fields is definitely a worse passer if you can contain his running, and the Bears have better weapons overall I think between Odunze/Moore and the TE's, even though Wilson is individually better than anybody the Bears have.

I'm guessing we win, but because our defense is so bad, the game will be closer and more competitive than it should be and we won't be able to close it out until the 4th quarter.

Will McDonald is one of the perfect examples of the type of guy I'd be willing to trade one of our future 1's for. Green Bay's of course, not our own, but still.

Young, productive, on a team that might be looking to offload players for picks, still on a rookie deal, and I think they even had him in for a 30 visit before the draft.

I'm not so sure about that. Williams looks very mediocre to me.
He is mediocre... I'm just saying his talent, his pure athletic talent, is top notch.

Doesn't mean he's a good QB, but his has that potential to go off any week.

Hopefully, the Jets will be our Kent State.
