2025 Season | Week 3 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys vs. Bears | 9/21/2025

:lol
That Giants assistant coach dropping his head in disappointment when the cornerback dropped an easy INT

The Giants put up 15 combined points in their two games besides us, while of course looking like the 99 Rams in our game.

If this continues for another few games I can't see how any self respecting team could keep Eberflus around.

We have the Jets and Panthers after Packers. If another Giants-like defensive effort occurs against those two…

Analytics have supported the basketball 3pointer vs long 2point jump shot, going for 4th down more and the 2pt conversion.

Next up, I want to see the risk vs reward with throwing a 1st down pass into tight coverage vs check down on 3rd long. The chances of a Tolbert, Pickens or Turpin contested catch for first down, incompletion and even with higher INT % are probably better than Turd Ferguson getting enough YAC for the first.

Panthers 30-0 win over Atlanta is their first 30+ point victory since 2014. Damn.

Not a “drought”

😆 Rex Ryan: Dumbsday Defense….it’s dogshit.

Ole Jer sure is looking old these days

Yeah, you gotta go hard because a major factor (maybe the biggest) in that equation is how bad or good your defense is relative to the opposing offense.

If the opposing offense will almost certainly score, then you must both play keepaway and come away with seven points.

You could run the most standard man, cover two with a blitz here or there and get infinitely better results than we are getting right now. It's just sad when a defensive coordinator's ego continually puts the players in a bad position.
No one is playing hard on defense, at least from the eye test.
To me, it’s just another same old same old situation that has followed this team for decades and it is rooted in Jerry saying shit like he did yesterday…that the Cowboys are a playoff team when even Stevie Wonder knows they suck ass.

If he’d come out raising hell, threatening to cut people or bench them I think you’d see a difference in mindset.
But everyone is comfortable in Dallas. No one loses their job no matter how shitty they are at their job. 30 years and counting.

Panthers and Jets are ranked 22 and 23, respectively, in team defense but I predict we will lose to one of them.

The Romo offense.

And the GM/Owner told the media yesterday that they're still a playoff team.

Maybe kicking some trashcans and saying, "No! There's obviously an issue here and we have a looooong way to go before even thinking about playoffs!" would send a different message to his team.

We are all about the comfort.
