Maybe anecdotal, and also maybe not, but my up until yesterday atheist step brother and completely uninterested biological brother both asked my dad about starting a bible study.

I thought that was weird and maybe related to this whole thing, though I haven’t asked them, and probably won’t.

That coupled with the sprinkled in posts on my X timeline of random people saying this assassination has pushed them to get back into church or start getting into it, I think we’re far more likely to see an uptick in religious affiliation than we are to see a civil war.

I also think that’s pretty indicative of who the left and the right really are. People are moving closer to God over this rather than rioting, burning and looting.

I agree with your original post that I commented on btw. I just think there are exceptions like in this case.

Business owners should absolutely have the right to refuse service to individuals.

Employees of large corporations shouldn’t and in most cases don’t have that same luxury unless it’s expressly laid out.

I ask that question about most of the outlets and people on X who people here drop as posts. The Nation has been around for a very long time (well over 100 years, if I recall correctly). I dislike its content because it’s a very left wing outlet, but at least I’ve heard of it.

Edit: it’s been around since 1865, so I was off by just a wee bit.

It’s all so clear now.

Shooter was gay and was radicalized cause of that.

Also probably secretly hate-envious of Kirk for his abundant normalcy.
