Well I mean it's something. Not going to pretend I know a damn thing about either guy. But we didn't exactly cut top talent at corner to make room for them either. Childress was a nice little surprise in preseason and frankly I thought Booth sucked. Booth may have had a nice INT but he was being raped repeatedly before that. Anyway, I'm cool with trying to improve the corner depth but would have liked to see a DT. We all knew that wasn't happening with Mazi eating up a spot for nothing.

Yea I'm glad they got rid of Booth, I think Childress has something but the slot guy (Steward) was with Eberflus last year in Chicago so I'll trust him on that one.

Well yeah, they should have signed Gilmore weeks ago.

I get that they're worried he won't play enough if everyone is healthy.

But everyone is unlikely to be healthy.

He’s a vested veteran. If on a roster week one, their contract is guaranteed for the year. Every year you see guys like this signed after week 1.

Yeah if Diggs can't go, one of these dudes is playing the slot? Or am I missing something. Revel is on PUP so he is out the first 4 weeks. They either feel really good about Diggs or our defensive coordinator trusts the Bears guy to play the slot.

I guess they could also call a guy up from the practice squad like Hall.
 
Total frickup though if you're playing Hall and lose Childress. Not that he's Ed Reed, but come on.
